Fourth Quarter Bulletin 2025

1. Pets

Sterilization
The sterilizations have taken a hit for the end of this quarter: a team member will be unavailable between December 10 and January 10, 2026. However, we were able to rely on the cooperation of the city's veterinarians to replace the founder who was held back by a broken foot!

Cattery

The cat named Coco was returned to her owner by our friend Nancy Cu Unjieng and the volunteers of the very effective animal protection organization CARA.

The tourist who had entrusted her to us 4 months earlier for preparation for export came to pick her up in Manila. Everything went as planned, and little Coco arrived safely in her new family in Holland, where the cat Princess warmly welcomed her..

Tow yard
Following our rescue action of the few survivors among the 57 dogs from September 8, the shelter has been (temporarily) closed.

On the other hand, rabies vaccines have arrived and the city's veterinarians have launched a large vaccination campaign starting with the "positive" barangays.

We hope that this action will bring about a similarly positive change, at least for the well-being of dogs and cats.

2. Farm Animals

Slaughterhouse

On the "ante-mortem" side, the acceptance of the animals took place with respect for their well-being on December 23 and 30. During our visit, we observed that the pigs had enough space.

Stockage des cochons à l'abattoir

At the risk of repeating ourselves, we still hope for water troughs for pigs, a shower in the stunning ramp, and the mandatory use of the stunning device for cattle.

Carabaos
We have not received any response from the governor of the province. Illegal shipments of carabaos of all ages and under particularly cruel transport conditions occur every week without any veterinary oversight.

THE MARTYRS SACRIFICED ON THE ALTAR OF GLUTTONY
Overcrowding of animals on an area of less than one square meter per carabao without food for a 40-hour journey including loading!

HANGED BY THE NOSE AND PACKED AMONG BOXES WITH NO POSSIBILITY OF LYING DOWN OR MOVING, WITHOUT FOOD AND WITHOUT WATER FOR 40 HOURS BEFORE BEING SLAUGHTERED!

This quarter, more than 905 carabaos were shipped out without the presence of the veterinarians required by law, to Manila for corned beef factories, to the detriment of farmers and especially agriculture. No carabao has ended its life at the Puerto Princesa slaughterhouse.

OUR CARABAOS
We had to cancel the biannual visit of the southern carabaos due to a "dog" accident resulting in the founder's broken right foot.

We are still looking for some wealthy sponsors to raise the 600,000 euros needed for our project "A Thousand Carabaos for the Farmers of Palawan." Any donation will be gratefully received. Attached you will find the details of this project, which is also important for agriculture.

You will find the details of this project attached to this letter.

IN THE REGISTER OF GOOD NEWS: NO GOOD NEWS UNFORTUNATELY
Ce trimestre, dû au pied cassé de la fondatrice par un chien nous avons dû consacrer toutes nos ressources financières à un voyage en Belgique et une opération chirurgicale compliquée. Nous nous rattraperons dès que nos finances le permet.

OUR GOATS
In the absence of the founder, the city veterinarians have taken up the torch, continuing the long-term treatment for the goat's leg.
